Two WW1 Type aircraft arrive at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome

  • Sopwith Snipe

  • Albatros D.Va

Two WW1 type aircraft arrived at Stow Maries last weekend and are due to fly, weather and serviceability permitting, at the WW1 Aviation Heritage Trust (WAHT) Fly-in 15/16 Aug. The Sopwith Snipe type (photos by David Davies) was based at Stow Maries Aerodrome during WW1. The Albatros D.Va was a German fighter. These aircraft are unique reproductions, built in New Zealand by The Vintage Aviator Ltd and it is an incredible sight to see them fly in the skies over the aerodrome.
