Royal visit to Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome
Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex visited Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome on 17 March. He had a tour of the site, met the Stow Maries Trustees, Russell Savory the Aerodrome Manager and spoke to some 30 of Stow’s volunteers.
He also met with Dick Forsythe and Michael Drayton, trustees of the WW1 Aviation Heritage Trust (WAHT) and sat in the cockpit of the WAHT operated BE2e reproduction aircraft.
