Purleigh All Saints Handbell Ringers donation to Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome
On Sunday 21st December, Purleigh All Saints Handbell Ringers visited the aerodrome to present a cheque for £250.
The money has been raised from donations given to the bell ringers as they have been playing Christmas carols on their hand bells around the local villages, at Christmas bazaars and fayres.
They nominated the aerodrome as their charity for their 2014 Christmas collection, so we owe them a huge thanks for giving their time to help us.
The money they have raised will go towards covering the purchase price of the Tower of London poppies FOSMA has bought to commemorate the airmen from 37 (Home Defence) Squadron at Stow Maries who died in service.
The Purleigh All Saints Handbell Ringers are shown presenting their donation cheque to Bob Pluck, Vice Chairman of FOSMA.
