Talk By Female RAF Typhoon pilot

We are delighted to announce that on Saturday 27th October the Aerodrome will host a talk by Female RAF Typhoon pilot. Flt Lt Helen Seymour is an Evaluator Pilot on 41(R) TES, who has been testing and evaluating new equipment on the Eurofighter Typhoon.
Prior to assuming her current appointment in Apr 2018, she was an Instructor Pilot on 29(R) Sqn, teaching the next generation of Typhoon pilots and prior to this she held the position of Typhoon Standards and Evaluation; responsible for maintaining flying standards of all Typhoon Pilots across the entire Typhoon Force.
She became the first female Typhoon pilot in 2009 following a brief ground tour instructing on the Typhoon Simulator. She has been a Front Line pilot on both Typhoon and the Tornado F3 with 1000 and 700 hours respectively on type.
Flt Lt Seymour has gained operational experience on Op ELLAMY and Quick Reaction Alert (NATO, Falkland Islands and UK) and has flown on multiple exercises involving many partner nations.
The talk will start at 3pm and will last around an hour.
